General Terms and Conditions (GTC) & Salon Rules
Applies to all services at the CHICA GROOM dog salon

1. Acceptance of Contract
By making an appointment – in writing, by phone, by email, or via social media – the customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions as binding.

2. Condition of the Animal
• The customer confirms that their animal is healthy, vaccinated, dewormed, and non-aggressive.
• Sick, aggressive, or heavily matted animals may be refused.
• The salon assumes no liability for undisclosed misbehavior or pre-existing medical conditions of the animal.
• The customer undertakes to disclose any special circumstances (allergies, fearful behavior, biting, etc.) in advance.

3. Age Limit and Assumption of Risk
• Dogs over 12 years of age are generally no longer accepted for safety reasons.
• For animals 10 years of age or older or in poor health, the customer bears the full risk for any possible consequences of the treatment (stress, circulatory problems, etc.).
• The salon may terminate the treatment at any time if the animal's well-being is at risk.

4. Disclaimer
• The salon assumes no liability for injuries caused by heavily matted fur, skin irritations, allergic reactions, or unexpected behavior of the animal.
• The customer expressly releases the salon from any liability related to the age, health, behavior, or outcome of the treatment.

5. Payment
• Payment is made immediately after the service in cash or by card.
• Prices depend on the effort, time, coat condition, and behavior of the animal.
• If the animal terminates the treatment prematurely, the full price must still be paid.

6. Appointment Cancellations & Delays
• Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
• For last-minute cancellations or no-shows, a fee of €30 will be charged.
• For delays of more than 15 minutes, the appointment may be canceled and a fee of €30 will also be charged.

7. Pick-up
• The dog must be picked up no later than 3 hours after the end of the treatment.
• A care fee may be charged after this time.

8. Special Measures
• In cases of severe matting or parasite infestation, a complete haircut may be necessary.
• The customer agrees to this measure, even if the dog's appearance is significantly altered.
• For certain breeds with high grooming needs (e.g., Poodles, Maltese, Shih Tzu), a short haircut will be performed in the event of neglect.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Berlin.
