No, the course is suitable even for complete beginners. We teach from scratch and provide all the basics for a confident start.
When does the course start?
The course starts once a group is formed. We organize new sessions regularly, so it’s important to register early and reserve a spot. Once the group is full, we will notify you of the start date.
How long does the course last?
Total of 5 weeks (40 hours).
1 day per week, 8 hours each day.

What techniques will I learn?
You will learn clipper work, scissoring, hygienic grooming, coat care, and handling different breeds.
Will we groom real dogs during the course?
Yes. The practical training includes grooming real dogs under the supervision of a trainer.
Is there a demonstration on a model?
Yes. The trainer will demonstrate grooming techniques on a dog model so you can follow the entire process.
What breeds will we work with?
We work with a variety of breeds, including Poodles, Pomeranians, and Yorkshire Terriers.
Will we receive grooming diagrams and guides?
Yes. Participants will receive detailed grooming schemes and technique recommendations.
How many students are in a group?
Small groups of up to 4 participants to ensure personal attention for everyone.
What tools should I bring?
You will receive a basic set including straight scissors and a comb as a gift. You can also bring your own tools if you prefer.

No. In Germany, the profession of Tierfriseur (pet groomer) is not regulated or licensed. What matters most are your skills, experience, and ability to work with animals.

Yes. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a certificate of participation from Chica Groom. It confirms your training and is useful for future job opportunities.
Can I work as a groomer after the course?
Yes. You’ll gain solid practical experience and can start working with clients or continue advancing your skills.
Does the course help with job placement?
We do not guarantee job placement, but many of our graduates already serve clients or work in grooming salons.
